I watched a youtube video on how to connect my laptop and my printer and the video led me to a "canon" link which would not download and gave me the above customer service number to call. I called and the dude immediately had me let him into my computer. I know, I am an idiot. Well I realized something was wrong and ended the session. I am restoring my computer to undo anything he did.
We got 3 calls at 3 am this morning one right after another. Called it this morning and the guy said he was with HP support.
Robot call received from 800-441-6099 on 12/19/19 stating they were Duke Energy wanting payment on supposed unpaid bill and that power would be shut off in half hour. Don't even have an account with Duke Energy Electric Co. Also their recorded message is identical to the one used by Duke Energy making it sound legit. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THESE LOW LIFES!
