Received call from Rene Hosman from 800-361-4306. Messages daily saying they received the form that we filled out for our doctor and they just needed a little more information. Never filled out a form.
Lorie Carter from America's best doctor. She said an application was received but we have never sent in any applications for that company.
Yup! Multiple calls saying same thing, one from "Tamera MacLab" saying we received your application to Today's Nurse and needed to review some information to make sure its the most accurate before we publish... then she called again saying she is from the International Nurses Association and we received the form you submitted ... (I didn't submit anything anywhere) and she 'found out some information during the review that needs to be clarified". BS, I did not call back.
Got a scam for vehicle insurance in the mail demanding to call back to this number immediately and a penalty of $300 if I didn't.
Beth Andrea calling about a form I submitted that was approved but she needed to review my information so I was to call her back at 800-354-0742. I didn’t submit any forms so I knew it was a scam. Did not call her back
Laurie left VM and said she was calling about my "America's Best Doctors" form that I had completed. I did not fill out any form and when I read the comments above, I did not return her call.
I received something in the mail regarding Women in Medicine, Top Doctor and replied to it to learn more. Rec'd a phone call and called back. They took a brief professional history and then discussed membership options (diamond, platinum, gold, and basic?) at various prices levels. I kept saying I wanted to think about this and call back and this was not offered as an option. There was significant pressure to make a decision now as they were publishing by noon the day on which we spoke about one month prior. Interestingly enough, I received another message from them today (different person) asking me to call back. After speaking with a few other physicians, it appears this is a scam. Their credit cards are charged and described services are not received as stated. Will not engage again.
Received call saying I had been nominated for International Nursing group. Pleasant lady asked where I went to school, what type of nursing I had worked in, etc. Very nice conversation until she said it costs only something over $700 for a diamond membership or $500 something for a platimum one. I said I have no access to that much money (noneo f her business if I had or not) She then named some credit cards they accept, I said I have none of them then she wanted to know where I bank. I then hung up. In further looking online in Nursing forums I see many, many have been contacted by this scam and have made BBB complaints. BAD, BAD people these.
Received call from Jennifer Russo at "Top Women in Medicine" that my application was approved and ready to be finalized. I thought my boss had signed me up, so spoke with her for a little while. Then she told me that membership dues of $799 or $999 were due today or they would not hold my spot in the publication. Could not send me a bill or an invoice, was told "that's impossible, the publication would never get finished if we held spots and sent invoices". Complete scam.
