Asking for social security number because it was compromised... scamers
I was called at 12am from this recording and said that my Verizon account was locked and I had to press #1 to reactivate it. I hung up before I could hear the other options. However, at 12am in the morning. How pathetic these scammers are.
Same as others. It was a Verizon phishing scam. Told me my account was suspended and that I had to call ?+1 (800) 481-0402?.
Recorded message saying Verizon account was suspended, offer two items - 1 to reactive account, 2 to speak with a Verizon representative Appeared to be text to voice, generated with a very, very bad program. I told them what to do and hung up.
Call came in but I didn't answer it nor was a voicemail left. I typically avoid answering calls from (800) numbers so the comments posted about this same number reinforces my refusal to allow spammers/scammers to waste my time EXCEPT for adding their number to my block list.
