Received a call from "Xcel Energy" saying our power would be shutoff in 30 minutes for non-payment and to Call 800-607-2931 to settle the account. Bogus....it's a scam........
I received a phone message from "GORGE (Georgia?) POWER" representative, indicating that I need to call the billing department 1.800.607.2931 in order to prevent my power from being disconnected. I don't have an account with Georgia Power.
Same thing.. I called them back multiple times with bogus info to tie them up...
THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE NOT GA POWER . LOOK UP THE REAL GA POWER CUT SERVICE NUMBER AND CALL- THEY AUTOMATICALLY GIVE YOU YOUR CURRENT BALANCE.
I received a phone message 5/22/2020 from what sounded like a "GORGE A POWER" representative, indicating that I should call 1.800.607.2931 in order to prevent my power from being disconnected. The caller sounded squirrely. I checked the GA POWER Customer Service number which is NOT the number herein referenced. I feel certain this was an attempted SCAM.
GA Power Ending balance on the account. Please call the direct billing department number at 1 (800) 607-2931 to avoid power disconnection. Again the number is 1 (800) 607-2931. If you need to speak with a representative please press two. Thank you for choosing Gorge a power. Goodbye. The original message is still in your account.
Received a call from Cheek, Randall 770-489-1691 saying to call GA Power so my power is not cut off. Number to call 1-800-607-2931

Received a call on June 5th-that I owed 3 months and they were going to turn off my power.They told me to call 1-800-607-2931. I called an actual Xcel agent who told me it was a scam.
