It was a recorded call claiming to be from the Soc. Sec. Admin....saying your SS# has been canceled due to suspicious activity and to call 800-772-1712 to talk to someone in SS about it. Since when does SS, cancel your SS#...ridiculous scam, but sadly these people will do anything to catch some unsuspecting person. I have personally blocked almost 1500 scams and robocalls from my elderly mother's phone. She has dementia and they prey on the elderly at home...it's a darn shame!!
