Caller ID said it was the SSA. Being that I'm the legal guardian for my adult son and they said it was about him, I called them back. Stupidly, I gave them his SSN before I realized this was probably a sketchy call. I didn't give them any other information, however. Be wary. Government agencies only exchange information over the phone if you call them.
