Got unwanted call from 800-776-5412?
Caller claimed to be Verizon employee. Stated my service was being switch to a different tower. Hung up on him and blocked his number.
Claimed to be Verizon wanting to test the new 5g in my area. Somehow they were able to send me a text from Verizon's number with an access code. He wanted me to give him the access code I was texted. The body of the text states Verizon will never call you and ask you for this code. I told him I wasn't buying what he was saying and that I was going to call Verizon myself to see what it is they want and he hung up on me.
Exact same experience as Dean. Claimed to Verizon and then wanted me to tell them which lines would be affected by the tower switch. I think Verizon would know!
They called to try and reset password on my verizon account, to give $25 credit for each of the lines on my account, for a scheduled downtime that will be occurring tonight. I started asking questions and they hung-up.
