BEWARE SCAM...I Received a call from (800) 827-1000 on 1.27.21. He had my rank wrong and instantly said he was from the VA. He would not give me a call back number as "he is working from home". He wanted my full social security number (VA does not do) and date of birth. He became angry when I would not give information to him. He would not give me his name. The number call back goes to the VA recording but this is easy enough to make as a google number by anyone.
contacted by this number and the first thing they asked for was my 9 digit SSN I laughed, called the man a con man, he told me he was offended and i told him to get a real job and quit being a con man...
Got a call from this a-hole on 29OCT20 @13:55. Claimed to be a VA helpline. Left recorded message. DO NOT CALL BACK or ANSWER these Nimrods, they're after personal information and MONEY, of course. Need hunting down and put down for bothering the sheep.
