Start as computer generated voice stating my SS# had been involved in fraud at the southern boarder and to press 1 to speak with a SSA agent. Pressed to speak with an agent, they asked for my name, I asked for a number to call them back and was hung up on. I called the number back and it went to a recording stating it was a telemarketing company.
Computer generated voice, did not state name of caller or organization. Message stated "we will have to issue an arrest warrant under your name and get you arrested so get back to us as soon as possible thank you.
Got a text asking if I made a specific charge on my credit card & asking me to reply to this number. There was no such charge on my card
The message: “This call is from the Department of social security administration and the reason you have received this phone call from our department is to inform you that we just suspend your Social Security number because we found some suspicious activity so if you want to know about this case just press one thank you…â€
They called and said they were U.S. Government Social Security and my Social Security number has illegal activity. That I must call them or all benefits will be shipped and bank accounts ceased.
This number has been calling me 6x a day. It’s annoying! I don’t answer calls I don’t know. I’m from New Jersey.
