Got scam call "Hi Grandma" asking for money for bail and to call this number to talk with Alan Weiss of the Santa Clara public defender. Definitely a scam!
they sent me a phony phishing email wanting me to verify a banking withdrawal.
Over 30 call calls in three weeks. Most are hang ups but a few message transcripts: Sep 24, 8:47 AM: "So, this is Dominique calling for Rocket mortgage. Give us a call back at 880-700-7369." Sep 23, 9:16 AM: "Kevin calling from rocket mortgage to speak with you about the purchase information that you were looking into. Please give us a call back at 800-931-5199. Thank you." Sep 22, 1:27 PM: "Just to get a sandwich."
scammer, proporting to be "Amazon Fraud Center" asking whether I had ordered a 900 buck Apple iPhone and promising to restore funds to my back account if I gave them access. Crooks, in other words.
