Message claimed they have detected fraudulent activity on my social security card "press 1 for information from our database"
Says they have suspended my SS# and must speak to an agent to unlock it....Complete BS
Called me asked me same as above. First I don’t have a dell. But I played along with him. Told me to turn on computer then find the cntrl button asked me what next key was, I couldn’t answer that cause I hadn’t turned on my computer. So I just hung up. I was playing along cause I wanted to see were it was going. He called back three times after I hung up. I didn’t answer.
james from dell ( fake i'm sure) called claimed my computer is sending reports to there server ( for what purpose would it ever do that?) and that 2 people ( gave fake names) were alledgedly trying to access my computer james also knew my name ( asked for me by first and last name) phishing scam I think
