Pretend to be Google Help, and tips people off by making them buy cards to prove it's their accounts...they are RIP offs....
I was trying to call amazon customer service and they answered wanting to google gift card... hung up they kept calling me over and over again
July 12th, 2019...phone number (805) 250-8556 and (805) 220-1031 being used by a scam artists with India accents going by the names of Christopher James and John Rogers, respectively. They are posing as facebook customer service. They instructed me to purchase $1,400 dollars worth of Google play cards in $100.00 increments (which they said facebook would refund me); that they needed to verify the 16 digit numbers on back of cards and only then would they be authorized to have facebook banking department release the $150.00 that was from a facebook fundraiser I had established through Facebook to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation. (note: I did establish such a fundraiser in lieu of birthday presents from my friends and family in honor of my sister.
Keeps calling and no voice comes on the line. No way to know if this is a robocall. I don't know anyone with this number among my friends.
