Just received the same email for the same exact thing you are talking about For a TV Xbox combo thing for $2900 With that number listed to call if I suspect fraud Thought it was strange because it was sent from an email similar to my own. I reported it Amazon
Just received the same type of email. I will not be calling that number. Thought it was weird that the email didn’t come from Amazon themselves.
Number on scammy email "confirming order", that I did not place in any way, for TV and Xbox for almost $3000. No info for contacting seller except this phone number to call if I "suspect" fraud. Thinking that is the object of the email to get me engaged on the phone. NO WAY
I got this number from google and called it for Apple Online Customer Service. The man who answered this phone asked for my name and then proceeded to ask me about my bank account. I asked him what did my bank account have to do with my phone call. He immediately hung up. I called back right away and another person with an accent answered. I told him what had just happened and he said that he would report it to management. We hung up.
