Received email re being renewed for service; they tried to scam me and obtain info, get into my computer, etc. When I didn't give any info, they hung up. I reported it to the FCC and filed a form with them. Beware!
I received an email stating I was being charged $399.35 for Norton Lifelock Protection for three years, and that "they" tried to contact me on my "registered number for query but could not get through." The email contained this 1-888-number to either cancel the subscription or report and dispute the charges. Looked official...but I went to the REAL Norton website, where it showed that my subscription was good until August, 2023.
*CAUTION! INAPPROPRIATE SEXUAL COMMENTS WERE MADE BY THIS PHINE NUMBER TO MY (adult) CHILD… My daughter got an Email with this phone number saying they had received her payment in the amount of $725.68 for a phone and they noticed unusual activity on her PayPal account. She called the phone number because she didn’t realize it was a scam. A man called her back and made inappropriate sexual comments to her. She blocked his number
Received email saying I was being renewed for McAfee Pro Protection Shield for $429.95. Account will be charged automatically. 12/7/2021
states Geek Squad Services, $399.92 annually. The charge has been successfully processed and it will reflect on your statement in "sometime." (sometime)
