Got unwanted call from 833-266-8886?
They called claiming to be Aetna and having information pertaining to my prescription drug plan. Here is the thing... I do NOT have AETNA for my medical insurance or for my prescription drug plan!!! They have already contacted me 9 times this year alone and it is only the end of March!! But they were also calling me last year as well approximately 8 times just from Sept to Dec.
Fake insurance company. If you are so and so press 1. Do not respond hang up. Don't cough or say anything just hang up! Fake SSA too! Same fraudsters.
Claimed to be Social Security saying my account was suspended. Wanted me to “confirm” my SS number to learn more. I had seen a poster at my local SS office warning about this scam. Their agents will never ask for your number in a unsolicited call.
Just got this same call today.
Used my name and claimed to need information to resolve an issue with my prescription drug plan. There are no issues and my insurance provider confirmed this number is not in use by them or their agents.
Call claiming to have important medical information about my insurance but then seeking ALL my personal information first before saying anything.
Claiming my Social Security Number was suspended and wanted me to press 1 to talk to someone about it - I assume they would have asked me to provide my SSN.
