Got unwanted call from 833-289-1205?
I received multiple calls from this number in one day. Claim to be CVS pharmacy. Not the case.
Claimed to be CVS, but we dont use them for Rx....deleted & blocked
CVS Caremark is a "prescription benefits manager" used by many insurance companies to waste your time, your doctor's time, your pharmacist's time with things like "prior authorization", in the hope of saving money for the insurance company & CVS Caremark. There's no way I would call back this cryptic message, but I checked my insurance company website and there is no indication they want to talk to me. This sure sounds like a scam, but also sounds like a whole lot of idiotic HIPAA-compliant messages I get from doctor's office; "please call your doctor immediately about your appointment". As if I had only one doctor, and don't mind waiting on hold to re-confirm an appointment. Either way, this number is getting blocked now.
Call from 833-289-1205 was from CVS to let me know that they will cover/ or not cover a specific drug the Dr prescribed. Gave me a 7 digit number, after entering it verified my birthdate. This was a saved recording with this 7 digit ID to let me know the decision and they were sending a letter to my Dr and I. If want to dispute told me how to. I had the same call previously when they first prescribed the medicine for me.
I had several voicemail from CVS Caremark and the message asking me to call this number for important information. I was given 7 digit extension so they would know it was me calling. If answered to verify with name and date of birth. I believe it's a scam call.
I had a voicemail from CVS Caremark and got a message asking me to call this number for important information. I was given 7 digit extension so they would know it was me calling. It gave me an informative message with my name. It only asked me for my birth year to confirm that it was me. I was then told that the prescription my doctor recently requested was approved and the doctor and myself would receive a confirmation in the mail.
SCAM!
Received an automated voicemail stating they were CVS Caremark with a personal identification number. I have no clue why they're calling me. I read about these calls all on the internet.
They know my name but don't leave any information. When I call the number they ask for the 7 digit extension. I can't get beyond that so I don't know who they are. I do use CVS Caremark but this call is very suspicious!
Just another ridiculous scam. NEVER return calls or follow instructions from automated call systems! Especially when you are prompted to enter any numbers, pins, or asked to provide personal information!!!! At the very least, always research numbers you dont recognize. Always research numbers that use automated messages, no exceptions! To be clear... 833-289-1205 is NOT a legitimate CVS number, and is 100% a SCAM.
