Calls multiple times. Left a different number than caller ID displayed. Knew my first name.
The Caller said that his name was Chris and was asking for donation to support families of Police Officers kill in the line of duty. He also said that the were headquarters in Chicago, IL.Caller tried his best to obtain my debit card info. That's a No-No for me. I said I preferred that he send the letter version so that I can make sure I am donating to a bonafide IRS approved charity. The letter came and it looks suspicious. ,I googled the phone number and it shows that it belongs to a house called Tru Dream Journeys located in Winston-Salem, NC.
I RECEIVED A LETTER ABOUT DONATING. WHEN I LOOKED UP THIW PHONE NUMBER IT SHOWS THAT THIS IS A SCAM

I could have been talking to a machine -- the callers stuck to their scripts and mostly ignored my questions. They did give me a website, but it is pretty bare and devoid of any real information. It's also registered out of Canada -- which is suspicious since the organization is supposedly based in Chicago. https://www.nationalpolicecoalition.org/ Most likely a scam. If not, they don't go out of their way to appear reputable.
