Got unwanted call from 833-600-8859?
performing Garmin update..they pop up as tech support. told me my system was infected and wanted to fix it for money. My stupidity for trusting what I thought was Garmin support and giving them access. Went through steps to clean computer...hope it worked
Its a scam to get in to your computer, don't do it !!!!
Claimed to be Garmin, and will update units, for $79, also claimed that although computer wasn't infected, the 'net' was with BetaBot and they can fix it for a price.
They ask for access to you computer through GoTomeeting or somethign similar and then go to cmd line and type netstat, they get the ip address that get accesss to your computer and then do bad things. Do give them access in the first place.
They are pretending to be Google and they will post this number in Google forums
