Wouldn't provide information as to reason for the call besides "possible business matter" without me giving him enough information so he could apply for a mortgage.

Credence Resource Management is a debt collection agency. They're probably on your credit report as a 'collections' account. This usually happens when you forget to pay a bill. If a collection is on your credit report, it's damaging your credit score (unless removed).

Number calls, does not leave voicemail. If answered there is a very long pause before a response to hello, or even multiple hellos. Hard to understand person. Called at 8a on a Saturday. Knows personal information but wants "confirmation" before providing any information (name, address, didnt get past that because they would not provide me with information unless I confirmed I was "the right person") about the matter of the call/refuses to provide any information for their side. Calls it a "personal business matter".
