This number is a high level scammer probably targeting Spectrum customers. I received a text about my payment being due with a link provided to use for the payment. Unfortunately for them I happen to be an IT Security Engineer with a keen look out and a hard catch for stuff like this. I don't have a spectrum account, I don't have a due payment, I don't pay bills by text etc
They left an "official" sounding voice mail saying there's been a change with my Spectrum account & to call 866-914-5806. Also sent a fishy looking text to call 833-779-2729 because I have a payment due. I do not.
Pretending to be from Spectrum they asked for me by my first name and asked how was I enjoying the TV package and I don't have Cable with the I only have internet. That's how I knew it was SPAM/FRAUD. I asked the female where was she calling for and she said "Spectrum." I muted the phone and she kept saying"hello hello" and then she said "Oh my God" and she hung up. This is the second SPAM call I received today from a different number pretending to be SPECTRUM. The first one called and then texted with a different number. I pray that they catch whoever's doing this.
