Received call from this number on a Saturday night "after" 9:15pm on 9/7/19. The woman apologized for calling late stating she was conducting a survey asked me if I felt things were better or worse in my state. When I finished replying "worse" with supporting facts she said she had no way of recording that information because she was calling regarding "Stem Cell Research." I told her she never said anything Stem Cell Research her reply was she didn't have the chance. HELLO!!! She point blank asked me if things were better or worse in my state then stopped attempted to interrupt before I completed my answer. I called number back and it came back with a recorded message that I had reached a Marketing Research Company" and that they call to gather information regarding information facing the nation for government and business entity. It gave me the option to block additional calls from that number which I chose. The recording stated it takes up to 3 business days to block from this number, but does not guarantee I won't receive calls from other numbers. After I chose the block option I called right back and receive a fast busy signal meaning my number appears to be blocked from the above number. No guarantee it will be blocked from one of their other numbers. The only reason I answered the phone that late is I'm fed up with receiving ROBO and telemarketer calls and wanted to make sure they were aware. FCC needs to find a way to control all these unwanted calls coming to home landlines as well as cell phones. It's ridiculous "numerous" unknown calls come in day and late night. I'm in the middle of a medical emergent situation and not all relevant numbers show where they're calling from only to find it's related to medical and a call I needed to take.
