The part that bothered me was donating to them for veterans suicide prevention. Then using my credit card for donation. I got a bad feeling so I tried interrupting and heard that this was not a charitable donation as they hung up. I tried calling back and redialing to no avail. So I called my credit card company, put a stop on payment and will get my money back. (Tucson)

Shows it coming from a local number -- sounds very real as if it were a live person, but if you ask a random question you get the long delay and an answer that doesn't match. Supposedly a charity. Don't give any info.

They want a donation to "help veterans." They are a PAC and will provide their money to candidates that they feel will support their causes, but they do not define their causes.

Got a phone call from Coalition for American Veterans on Saturday soliciting a donation of $15. So I told them I would not give my information over the phone and to mail the paperwork. I just got it and the hair, that I don't have, stood up on the back of my neck. Tried the website on the paperwork several times, no good. Called the number and was on hold forever. Then I looked the letter over good and noticed they bounce their name around from Coalition (of) and (for). Then I looked for a name of the representative, nothing. So, I looked up fake charities and there they were. Don't get taken.
