Just received the same text, and Message. I live in New York so I believe this is a scam
Received text message from 844-284-2093 stating I was eligible for a covid vaccine to click on https://www.chsli.org/covid-vaccination-patients to schedule a time using my code 0A4F4CD3A84 that I must make an appointment that they cannot accommodate walk ins. Not sure if this is real but would think I'd get a letter in the mail, not a text for something like this.
I keep getting a message from them telling me I have to fill out a covid testing link. And they add a link. But they never tell me who they are or where they are from.

The text www.chsli/org stands for Catholic Health Services of Long Island. If you have given your cell number or text to one of your doctors on paperwork you filled out for their office and they are members of the Catholic Health network then your info goes into their database. You may not even realize your doctor is a member of the Catholic Health Services network. You may also have doctors that are with other health networks such as Northwell Health network or Stony Brook Medicine network. I don't know exactly how all the networks operate but I do know that Catholic Health Services of Long Island do follow ups to patients who have given their phone/text info to the doctors participating in the Catholic Health Services network. When you go to your health provider and they are a participating doctor in CHSLI they enter your health problems, including medications, and the names of any doctors that they refer you to see for further diagnosis or any tests they want you to have such as x-rays, MRI, CT scan. Naturally, you would call these referred doctors/or testing places yourself and make your own appointments convenient for you. But once that info from your doctor is put into the database by your doctor, CHSLI then sets about to use your contact information and either will call you or text you with info regarding the info your doctor has entered about your last visit. I have received phone calls from people associated with CHSLI who identify themselves as such, and they ask me if I have made an appointment with the new referral doctor/specialist that my doctor has given me the name of. When I say that I haven't done that yet they ask me if I would like them to call and make the appointment with the doctor or test that I need to have done. I tell them No, I'll make my own appointments according to my own schedule and do not need their help. They sometimes follow up again with another call/text if they don't see in their system that you have made your appointment in what they feel is a reasonable amount of time. I repeat to them that I will make my own appointments or if it's a text, I just delete it. Sometimes after I have the test done that my doctor required, I find that CHSLI texts me the next day to advise me to have that test done, Which, of course, makes no sense. I don't know if these texts are manually initiated or automatically generated but they can be very annoying. Such as yesterday I had the MRI done that CHSLI had scheduled for me at St Charles hospital. This morning, which is Saturday, I was woken up at 6:35 AM by a text from them about getting another test done that my doctor wants me to have. I keep my cell phone on my night table, so I was woken up by it at 6:30AM on a Saturday morning!!! Yes I am very annoyed. Who would send a text out to someone at 6:30 AM? It was probably an automated text and it was sent from this number 844/284-2093. I deleted it and in the future, the next text I get from this number I will put a block on that number to not receive any calls or texts from it again. The CHSLI means well as to help you follow up with your doctors orders but they can be annoying. The Covid info that they send is most likely because they see your name in the system and it shows you haven't been vaccinated yet and they want to let you know that you can get your vaccination by making an appointment with them I have recently had Covid and my doctor told me to wait 90 days and then get a Covid test done and if its negative then I can get a vaccine. The reason for this is because the body has antibodies after you get over Covid and those antibodies will fight a vaccine if you get it while you have the antibodies in your system, which lasts for about 90 days. If the antibodies fight against the vaccine, you will have a bad reaction to the vaccine. I periodically get texts from CHSLI about getting my vaccine, I just delete them and I will make my own appointment after 90 days and I have had a negative test. I also happened to go to another doctor that belongs to Northwell Health network and they also text me all the time about locations of where to get the vaccine. So once we give our home number/cell/text to a doctor in any network then we are subject to getting these kind of calls/texts. They are legitimate but can be annoying.
