We got a call this afternoon offering to include our Property Management Firm in bids for commercial property management. When I noticed the name I googled it and found this site.
Lady who called wanted our email address so contractors could contact us to bid on projects. Our email address is on our website, and professional engineers do not bid on jobs. We had a similar call recently, as well as emails, and there is a fee for the company to make those connections between businesses. We never got that far into this conversation, but it is an unwanted disruption.
hello, this is an important message from Orange & Rockland Utilities for _____, see that's a fee regarding the account for service at _______ New Jersey ______. If this is ________, please press one to hear the message. If you can take a message for this person, please, press 2. Now. If this is not the correct number to reach this person, please press four. Looks like they are busy. Just called my store too. Exact same thing. Asked for my full name, which I gave (its in our work email signature anyways), and email. As soon as I hung up I realized I remembered this guy from a couple years ago. Phone number search comes back with "Jacobowitz Fashion." They send over a Blue Book invite. I just declined it and that was it.
a man called my work, asked for the emial so he could send over a materials list so we could make a quote, asked for my first and last name which I only gave first with no spelling (no one ever spells them correctly), but when I received the email, it was addressed to me by my first and LAST NAME which I NEVER GAVE, and both were spelled correctly. I did not open that email.

A woman from this number calls the business I work for nearly every day. Sometimes it shows as "Blue Book" and other times as "Jacobwitz Fashion". They won't stop calling, same story as the others have shared - fishing for information.
