SCAM: Got an "AT&T" call saying there was a scheduled outage in 2 hrs, so at midnight, for 7 hours and they needed my social or pin to confirm. I declined both. They said call us to confirm we're AT&T, which if the social or pin wasn't suspicious that seems super suspicious as well. He said "we have all this info (recited my full name, address, etc) but need your social to provide your refund"... For 7 hrs? I hung up on him, because he was being extremely persistent, he kept talking over me, and this just didn't make sense. He immediately called me back and again, this is 10pm at night (also very weird). I did call the number back and they have a very lame answering service pretending to be AT&T. I also searched the number and saw it was attached to what seemed to be a fake AT&T website. The rest were scam links. The real AT&T has full access to your account, don't fall for these garbage calls. They would never notify you 2 hours before an "outage" (never even heard of an AT&T outage in my life) and ask for personal information like that. I tried to call the real AT&T and couldn't even reach a live person for an hour so how is this guy calling me like it's no problem? SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Don't ever provide your social or pin number through phone or email unless you've gone through multiple verification steps with a company that you've contacted.
Got a call from this number followed by a call saying it was from my mom. When I answered the call from my mom it was a man’s voice saying he was with AT&T and needed to verify my account for a refund for the next month. The only information he provided was the last four numbers of the other two phones. Definitely a scam trying to access the account.
called stating they have a black out time in my area from 12 midnight to 7am and was giving me a waiver number and asked for my last four digit of my social. told him I did not feel comfortable with that he asked what was my pass code and he would send me an text to make sure I got my money back for the blackout time. Never got the text. I gave him my pass code and quickly changed it once I thought about it. A scam ATT need to fix this.
Stated he was with ATT don't give them any info. I checked as soon as we hung up and low and behold there was an order for a phone being prepared to ship. I was able to cancel it and called to report my account was hacked. the phone number 855-660-8920 if you call if back it will say At&t but it is not. PLEASE HANG UP!!!
Justin telling me about a couple of new programs my business might be interested in. I am not...
Message left pitching some "programs you haven't seen". They also sent text messages too.
