Complete scam from this number. I was confirming my information, when I realized something was not right and told this man by the name Shay Marco that I was going to walk to the SS office right around the corner from my office. Do not answer or give your information to this number.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION. These people are lying to you. This man answered the phone and said I could write down his name "Shane Marker" and they transferred me to a US Marshal last name "Cho". All the people speaking over the phone held Indian accents. Every chance I said "i'll just go to the SSA near me to discuss this" they would shut me down and try to tell me it was a high profile situation, to take care of it ASAP.
Woman answered with fake name and badge number. She said she was in Maryland, but refused to say which part. Complete Scam.
Said my social security number has been compromised through robot voicemail and connected me to a telecommunication assistance where they continue to try to take my information. I did not feel comfortable sharing as the operator sounded suspicious and foreign so I hung up the phone.
