Got unwanted call from 866-291-9889?
Called regarding Federal Student Loans and provided bogus reference #.
Everything everyone said above..same message.. Word for word.. Same reference number..thank you.. This is a scamscam
Got a cal from an Elizabeth Miller stating she needs to talk to me about Federal Student Loans and recent changes. She at no time states who she is trying to reach and requests a call back at 866-291-9889 with the following reference number 055509. I do not give this number out so this is some sort of scam.
Same recording as Nancy . It’s a scam
I got the exact same message using the same reference # 055509. These scam calls are getting better all the time.
I've gotten 3 calls (one from a ND number and two anonymous) leaving the same pre-recorded message saying the exact same thing as above (Elizabeth Miller...) using the same reference number for student loan repayment options. SCAM!
Just got the same call at the EXACT same time. Probably a scam.
I believe this is a scam... "Yes, this is Elizabeth Miller, and I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan. I need to discuss your repayment options with the new changes that have taken effect recently. So if you could please be sure to give me a call back. My number is 866-291-9889, and I'm going to give you a reference number. If you would, please have the Sandy when you call back. That'll make things a lot easier. Your reference number is 0 5559. Thank you."
