Cancelled account. Company refuses to communicate and continued billing after cancellation. Closed account by email and claimed they never received email cancellation. Over a two year period they continued to bill and then gave to a bill collector, Hillcrest Davidson? attempting to say that I refused to pay and did not cancel the account. Calls from a telephone that did not show up on called ID.
Scam. Tries to tell you that you own for a student federal loan that a bank has paid off (no) and that they want info verification and a valid mailing address for you. If they really owned a valid loan, they would have that info. I played around and let them lie themselves into the ground. Apparently, they felt I needed to verify that my child was a highschool student in 2006 to drop collections? Because this scum identified as USAF loans and ConServe on the same call, is trying to both get personal info and to scam me out of money. Also, no federal loans so this would be private and in the state we're from, a maximum of 6 years Statue Of Limitations for loan collections! Excuse me, if there was a loan 2006 and 2007 which the bank discharged in 2011, this is January 2019 and that's 8 years, not 6! However, they were calling my childs old number on my cell account and I warned them they had the wrong person, they're violating collections laws and to never call this number ever again! These guys are total scam artists! Be careful, not legit! What they do is get you to pay money on an aged out loan, never clean anyone's credit report, then pass the scam onto someone else. Don't hold your breathe for an ACCORD AND SATISFACTION letter from them or for them to do anything to improve your credit. Check your credit reports and have them removed from any comments or collections actions, apparently they pull this scam on a lot of former students who don't know their rights. Please contact your state attorney general or an attorney specializing in collections. Scum Scum Scum!
These people are scams. Tried to convince me that a privately taken student loan became a bankruptcy/statue of limitations exempt loan because it went into default. No loans, especially in default. Wanted an address for mailing. Refused. Be very very careful of USAF ConServe, they are identity theft scumbags trying to get money out of you.
This number comes up on Caller ID as coming from Conserve. It is an automated call asking for confirmation of my name. When confirming by pressing "1" twice; a person comes on the line wanting further identification from me prior to disclosing a personal business matter to be discussed. when refusing to give any further identifying information, other than confirming my birth year, that they already had, the caller hung up.
