Got unwanted call from 866-701-3822?
Received a call back to back claiming to be BOA and auto voice new my name. I didn't give any info. Blocked number.
She claimed to be from Bank of America, and knew my name. But immediately she asked for my birth date--which I had already provided on my credit card application. This is a major NO-NO! No reputable bank would call a customer, and then demand that the customer provide personal information which the bank already has.
Pretending to be Bank of America....do not respond.....
Legitimate, but spamming. Blocking the number.
Got a text message from this number, saying “Bank of America was unable to reach me on the phone today regarding your request. Please call 866-701-3832”. We haven’t requested anything. We don’t have any BOA cards.
rec'd a call about credit card which i do not have. caller immediately followed up with text message notifying me i must contact BofA immediately at this number. I called my branch directly. they do not recognize this as a BofA number. There are not any notes on my account or associated with my phone number.
Recording saying that BofA needs more information about a recent request. I did not make any request. Total scam. Beware
These people said they was calling from Bank of America and questioning a recent transaction; however, I haven't made any recent transactions. I didn't fall for it! This number is a fraud. Be extremely careful.
