I received the same one today. I did call back went to voicemail then I researched the number. I blocked all calls. Only wished I researched the number before returning the call.
Scammer calling pretending to be an Attorney ready to serve me court papers if I don't pay for a cc I don't have anymore.
Received a call from them today from a Shelly Carson a legal courier with nationwide processors and has certified documentation that requires my signature and would be at my home or residence tomorrow between 3-5 and if I needed questions to call 866/783-0509.
This company uses off shore ROBO Dialer - Credit Card Rate reduction Scam. They gather all your personal information then verify it on your credit card using number from back of card. If it checks out they transfer you to Nation Credit Services. www.NationCreditServices.com They will end up charging your card $1,090 claiming to give you a life time ZERO interest card that you can transfer your balances to. They use the name Dave Brown by the time you get transferred over to them. Clearly a SCAM to gather your information and then take your money. (and perhaps a calculated Identity theft scheme.) They get name, address, SSI number, mother maiden name, current Credit Card number, Exp Date and three digit code from back. I strung them along for nearly an hour and was able to get transferred over to the US company behind the call. When the ROBO call comes in it is a spoofed number similar to your number. Same Area Code and Prefix. A TCPA case will be brought against them as all info was audio recorded, including the calls back to them as they wanted me to verify my info that they said did not match. (Witch it did not as I gave bogus info except a valid card number). They fell right into my trap verifying all the information on the call back and wanted me to send them an image of drivers license and ssi card. So good to finally figure out one of the companies that pays the off shore company to places these calls for them. Likely they ended up paying a couple hundred bucks for the live transferred call to them.
