Got unwanted call from 866-852-4340?
Message not mentioning me by name says that I might have received a call from supervisor "John" (never did) regarding reduction or cancellation of my student loan (have none). This is either a scam or a telemarketer trying to profit from desperate students.
I get calls and/or voice mails on my cell phone a few times a month from this caller. Today it was "Jillian" who left a voice mail as a follow-up with her supervisor Brittany who called a couple of days ago. I don't answer my cell phone or home phone if I don't recognize the number. Both callers made referral to my "student loan" - I don't have student loans. Each time they call or leave voice mail, they never address me by my name, which makes me suspicious. They call from a different number, but the messages say to call 866-852-4340.
Got a call from a Miami number but that I was supposed to call an 866-852-4340 number to talk about "student loan reductions or forgiveness". I don't have student loans.
They pirated a legitimate phone number of some poor woman in Kansas City for scam regarding student loans.
