Call on cell phone. Did not answer and no msg. left.
SocoCCU "fraud detection and prevention" for SELCO bank. They got my middle name wrong. Robocall. Didn't stay with the message long enough to press any numbers, but definitely a fraud. Showed up on my work cell phone, a different number I haven't yet saved to my bank account. It's a different provider too, not the same company. Only my work place has both contact numbers, so this is weird.
Telling me to call my bank to verify transactions.
No more calls please
The call came on my mother's CapTel phone number. They claimed to be SOKO community credit union and/or Sococco, said we needed to call back to verify a transaction made on our old (now obsolete) bank debit card. They had the last 4 digits of that old card too, so I may have been taken in by this ploy at an earlier date. Very glad for the updated card which was activated just yesterday. My bank has my new cell phone number but this agency doesn't - another telltale sign that tells me they aren't who they claim to be. Fake protection from fraud scam. The names are so close to others that appear in our region, so difficult to sort it out unless you look up everything before returning the call. I can see on this website that it was not a valid contact number and I saw on the homonym businesses around here that no others carry this number.
