Wow! 'Kevin' called and left a message after hours saying his wife (Maria's) mother was hospitalized. Wanted to speak with the Pastor. Pastor tried to call but no answer. He called back to church number asking for Pastor. Told him I had done a number search on him. He became extremely irate, threatened me, called me a bit..., told me I was going straight to hell, cursed repeatedly. I asked for his full name since we keep records of visitors. Said his last name was Nanco.

Caller left a voicemail indicating his name (Mark) and wife's name (Michelle) and that they had visited our church before. Wanted me to call him because "Michelle's" mom (no name given) was sick in the hospital. Not realizing where 876 is, I tried calling back, but not able to make overseas calls. From a google search, it seems this ploy has played out in a similar way before with different names (https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-876-292-4266).

Calls claiming to have visited our church and has now had to return to Jamaica. Asked for our prayers, which we would gladly offer, but then promptly seems to have hung up, only to return mid conversation, repeating word for word what he had shared before, though it was like he was speaking to someone else. I looked up the number and found a number of similar stories concerning this number from other churches.
