Same as above, a male voice calling himself David Goodman. He said he was calling from Publishers Clearing saying we won $7,000,000. I told him he was a scammer, saying that the winning notifications are sent by certified mail. He defended his call saying he was not a scammer. Plus the questions he asked are probably used in ransom or grand kid in jail scams.
Scammer pretending to be Publishers Clearinghouse regarding sweepstakes
Claims I won $1,000,000 and a new car. Told him I didn't believe him. He asked why, I told him he was full of $hit. He hung up on me.
Claimed to be Publisher's Clearing House with a "seniors promotion". Knew our names and address. Told us to get a "claimer's card" gift card from CVS to cover 1% of our taxes. Of course we did not. I told him not to call back.
I just got this call today and he said i won 3.5 million dollars but I need to but a $500 gift card to give to them when they come and give me my prize.
Received a call from this number- a male voice calling himself David Goodman. He claimed to be from Publisher's Clearing House and used my first name (mispronounced). He said he was calling about an unclaimed package. When I asked why he was calling me from PCH about an unclaimed package (not UPS, USPS, Fed Ex,etc.), he told me because "I want you to suck a d**k and..." - I heard that as I was hanging up. So I don't know what kind of scam he was trying to pull because he apparently did not like me questioning him.
