This is absolutely a scam. This individual attempted to get my 88 y/o mother to take money out on a loan in order to claim a 3.5 million dollar "Publishers Clearinghouse" prize. I got him to call me and he tried going down the same road
Called about a prize I supposedly won. When questioned as to why they were calling from Kingston Jamaica and couldnt identify the person who won the prize, they said they were from South Carolina. Thick Jamaican accent. When hung up on they called back 5 minutes later with a slightly different Jamaica number. Ive gotten numerous calls from numbers like this from Jamaica, usually identifying themselves as publishers clearing house.
I received a 2 calls from a John/James Freeman calling from the Publisher's Clearinghouse. He called from a number in Jamaica (876-524-7502). He said he was calling to get a response from me since I didn't respond to the letter in the mail. I want to alert others so they don't potentially fall for the scam.
This number calls every day, sometimes at 6:00 am and claims that I have won $1,000,000. It is a live person. They have also called from 876-494-4138 and the name on caller ID is Kingston JM. I live in California
Left a voicemail stating that I was the winner of the publishers clearing house $5000 every week for the rest of my life plus $925,000. He asked me to call him back at the number listed above.
They call to say you won something when you say you are not interested, they continue to call
