Complaints about Phone Numbers876-540-####

Got a call from 876-540-7128. The caller was claiming to be from Publisher's Clearing House. After confirming my name and address, I hung up. The caller called again. I have blocked the number.

My mom got 5 calls from this number today and kept asking our address and if we were going to be home tomorrow to collect a check from publishers clearing house. Got home and called the number off my cell phone and told this Male individual (who didnt seem very educated) that he called me earlier today. Gave him a fake name and he said I won 950,000 dollars. He just needed my address. Told him I would I wish to give it to charity and he hung up. What a f'xxhead to thing ppl are going to fall for this. Quite humility.

This number called today and after the answering machine picked it up, there was an immediate call from "private caller", which rang until the answering machine picked it up, then disconnected leaving no message.

Called today saying they were John from the Publishers Clearing House and they were calling about a cashiers check. Caller ID noted the call was coming from Jamaica. Told me to call 804-271-0372 which, upon search, is a Richmond number.

Why
