Complaints about Phone Numbers876-781-####

I had the SAME expierence.

got a call from a Paul Anderson with Publisher Clearing House. Said I won a certified check and to call 646-965-6153 or 876-781-7147 for more information. My caller Id said it was from a Mandeville,Jm. .

Received the following message from this number: Hello, my name is Peter Watts in I'm with the Publishers Clearing House. We have contacted you today to inform you about a certified check that you have one here at the company for further information and details please dial 1-876-781-7147. Thank you.

you are told you have won seven hundred thousand dollars. All you have to do is go to your nearest post office and buy a money order for three hundred dollars and send to them so you can get your money. They say they are from winners international. Telephone number that comes up is 1-876-781-1218 but that is not the number they give you when you ask for their number. After I hung up they called back twice but I didn't answer. Also checked the internet while I was having my fun. Don't get fooled by this it is very much a scam

let it go to voice mail.. no message.. they called 3 times right back to back..

Called several times before I answered; the numbers were first Restricted, then a number from Jamaica, 876-781-3527. Tried several times from each number until I answered. A very weird voice (he said his name was John Michael) said they were Publishers Clearinghouse and I won cash and a car and "would I be home in the next 45 minutes to an hour?". Said to call 876-373-4767 Extension 3 and ask for John Richardson to confirm prize package number. He gave me a package verification number #77505US. Of course I didn't call, and I am sure I will get calls again; then I will block the number from my phone. Sheesh!!!

Caller said he was from PCH and I won a major prize. Called PCH and they confirmed they DO NOT call winners.

Claims to be David Johnson with the USA Treasury Department about winning prize money that is sent via MoneyGram or Western Union. Beware...this is a scam.
