This number recently called my phone and the caller identified himself as Peter Anderson. He claimed that my number was automatically entered into a drawing based off of places that I have shopped (Walmart, etc.) He stated that I had won a cashier's check and a 50 inch television. When I explained to him that I have not entered into any drawing, he tried to persuade me that I was entered just by swiping my bank card at certain places and paying my bills on time. I explained to him that, that does not qualify me for any drawing because I have not voluntarily entered into any drawing for any prize. I then asked if I could speak to a manager/supervisor in charge to verify that what he is saying is correct. "Peter" then said let me transfer you to my manager ok. So, I hung up because I initially knew this was some sort of scam or fraud call. However, he was trying to be very persuasive. I also warned him that I would report him and this number and he said if I was a scam person I would have asked for your number at the beginning of the call. But thank God for being able to distinguish a scammer and a real call because these bastards fool innocent people all of the time and it's not right.

Represented Publisher's Clearing House with a "package" I won. Wanted me to claim my "package". Broken English. I told him to donate it to the charity of his choice. Silence as I hung up.
