I have received at least 5 calls one right after the other. Bob was calling said something about a $ 4 milllion...baloney.
A man from this number continues to call my mother to try to scam her. He says hes her friend Mr. Johnson and insists on talking to her. He asked today if she was in the hospital and I wont tell him
Caller states he is Mr. Anderson and I won $1.5 million. Urgent. Need to call back.
I just received a call saying I won $1.8 million and a Mercedes Benz from Publisher Clearing House (12/19/2019) @ 11:30am. He asked if he reached me on my cell phone, home phone or work phone. It was my work phone. He wanted me to go home so I can receive the money, "when they show up at my home". Then he asked what time I'll be home and If I can leave work for them to meet me there. I said No. Then he wanted me to give him my cell phone number so he can call me. I said no, I'll call you. He then ask if I didn't want the money. I responded, "I don't want to be scammed". So he gave me this number and name, the name given was Anthony Brown(common name) with the phone number 1-876-872-8073. The call ended and I looked it up. Please be aware of predators during the holidays. Don't give up any information.
Told me I won publisher's clearing house to huge money and a c a r. Gave me 516-268-1448 to call and confirm then return call. That number is a scam also.
Same as above Received a call @ 6:45am UK time. I had won a couple of cars and 5.1Million on the Mega Lottery. After I led him on for a bit he called me a mother F*!ker and called off. Again someone vunerable could get sucked in.
My mother received a call from 876-872-8073. When she was told that she won $2.5M in the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes, she referred the person to me. He called and told me that he was calling on behalf of Publishing Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. He wanted to know if we would be available for delivery of not only the $2.5M but also of a 2019 Mercedes Benz. I was told that a number of letters had been sent to my mother and because she had not responded, he was calling to find out why. I asked when the delivery was scheduled and was told that it would be today. We also needed to have a claimer's card (Amazon gift card) for shipping & taxes along with driver's license or state ID. The number was registered from Kingston, Jamaica and when I asked why PCH was using an international number, he responded that he was calling from Jamaica New York. I then asked what address he had for delivery. He said that he didn't have the address but planned to ask for it from us despite the fact that he said letters were mailed to my mother. As I continued to question him, he told me I sounded like an ignorant black person. The icing on the cake. Please beware. There are people who prey on uninformed and/or elderly people. If it sounds too good to be true, follow up and verify before accepting or giving out personal information.
