Got unwanted call from 877-216-9910?
Sounds like the same story. I received a call reporting that my computer had been hacked and they needed access to it. Fortunately, I told them that I would need to check with someone else before proceeding. That someone told me that it was a scam. Thank goodness for "call a friend"!
I received a call saying that my email will be blacklisted if I don’t return a call to them to make sure it’s a legitimate email. I never called back and checked on it online to find these posts. I’m going to block the number.
I received a call on June 14, from Kevin John, claimed to be from GMAIL. Warning me that my email account is under review for suspicious activity and I must call and identify myself or my account will be blocked. I made the mistake of calling back and this led me to be scammed and ALMOST lost $449.99 from company claiming to be INFOTECH SOLUTIONS. I believe these scammers used this legit company's name and I escaped falling prey. Beware!
A man named Alex, said to be with the security team of yahoo said that one of my e-mails has been blacklisted and that I should call this number (877-216-9910) to avoid having my e-mail account shut down. I believe it is a scam as I have recently received another call from a different number threatening action against my e-mail account.
