Recorded call claiming time sensitive “help” for medical bills. Blocked
I did not know who this was at first. In calling them back to ask what they wanted. They advised that they only reach out to people that had requested help. Sometimes people however miss type their phone number. In this case, needed help with a tax matter and placed my name and number into a help request form, this was true.. They called me shortly after. I was provided service and they helped by answering my tax questions.
This company claimed to be Google and charged me $200. It turns out that it was a scam.
This company gives the impression of being google. If you ask them if they are Google they claim to be a Google partner. They are not.
Just reported these people to the FTC. They continue to call our business, daily and more than once, even after requesting to be removed. I've had it. They spoof their number to trick you into answering the call. Being a business, every call is answered so you can imagine the annoyance and impediment to our business. I was finally able to get a call back number for these people. In the past when I asked for their phone number I was always hung up on. But not today! Complaint filed. Can't wait until they stop!
Shows up as a call from Walmart... says it's a google listing.... I talked to the guy... like mentioned before very broken english, I googled ourselves while on the phone, an proved him wrong... also had our wrong business name. Asked him why does this say you are calling from Walmart.... kept insisting to speak to the owner, who I am here to protect against bogus phone calls... and said no i'm the office manager I have the authority to make this decision, remove us from your list. Will be reporting to Google.
I was getting 3 and 4 calls a day for approximately 2 weeks. Very troubling, to say the least. It was from a disguised 301-836-0512 phone number (as usual). ...so, one day (last week), I decided to move forward with the BS and I spent some time on the phone with these idiots. They all speak completely broken English. The reps were short and dry and had no interest in talking with me. Their focus was about some Google listing and eventually the fee. Complete scam, typical BS from similar calls. Well, I got the company website (www.oasismedia.co). To make a long story short... I, being in IT, found the owner's name, address, personal e-mail and cell phone number. I also made a connection, through more research, to a location in Tel Aviv having to do with their billing or payment of a service I will not mention here... very interesting. I gave our friend, Dennis, a call, over the weekend. I told him about the problem and made him realize he's not far from reach. I hope he got the message. If I get one more call I'll be placing his information and this story on blast. Then we can call them 400 times a day... since they like to call us and talk so much. This way they won't have to dial out!!
