A man called my elderly mother claiming to be her grandson in jail in New York. Wanted her to call a Robert Stevens at 877 318 8493 claiming it was a law firm where she could send money.

They keep calling multiple times a day (for many days in a row) from different numbers, but always leave a voicemail to return their call at this number and mention some kind of debt consolidation. I've never called them back.

SCAM OF A HORRIFIC NATURE! ID themselves as fake law firm. Targeting the elderly stating a family member was arrested or in an accident. They will even pretend to be a family member asking for money.
