This company used the name of Publishers Payment Center and sent a draft to my checking account for $77.55. I don't know how they got my bank details but it is a good thing I check my account daily.
I saw the toll free number come up, so I answered “Hello” instead of “Blah Blah Industries.” There was a moment of silence; then an extremely condescending male voice asks “Is THIS Blah Blah Industries?” I said “Yes,” in case it was a real customer. He responds “I would NEVER have guessed” and hung up on me. I suppose it was a commentary on my crappy phone manners, but really. We never get legit calls from 800 numbers. Any future calls from that number are gonna get answered by an air horn.
Calls our business here and there. Always asks to speak with the President of the company. When notified that she's unavailable but I'll pass a message, he always says "I'll try her another time." Waste of mine and his time because he will never reach her by not leaving a message.
