Yes, these numbers (8778763171) and (8668878997) are called me as OIG Inspector General, many times and the recorded message is exactly the same as a real social security office and they say please wait and then the call end. So I call the number again, then some one answer me. I say this number called me, he asked me what is your name, and last 4 digits of your SSN (Their accent is English Indian) and they clam that my SSN is used by some one and he use many bank accounts and then asked me which bank your are using and how much exactly you have. Then they ask you to be protected you have to transfer all your money from your bank from any store. I feel after this story that they are a scam so I just cut the call. But I blam my self that I give them my last 4 digits of SSN. I think police should search the address of those number, my friend also have a same stuiation but he have a true caller.
They claim your Social Security number is compromised and when you call them out on their obvious scam they threaten and verbally abuse you. Don't just hang up. Waste their time. Waste as much of their time as possible so they cant use that time to scam other unsuspecting people. Play them like they are playing you.
Call states that there is suspicious activity with my social security number and that my social security number is being suspended
Must be a scam because I work with Social Security, local & federal agencies. They are spoofing a Social Security Office number. I have also gotten scam calls from spoofed "FBI, state police, a lawyers office, etc." Funny thing is anything was actually on my record I would be notified thanks to the fact that I have to maintain a clean record of every kind for employment (driving, criminal, etc). When they call live, it can be fun messing with them though. LOL
