Caller insists this is their final attempt to call me and that if I do not respond by the end of day they will be pursuing legal action against me. Definitely a scam.

Caller insists this is their final attempt to call me and that if I do not respond by the end of day they will be pursuing legal action against me. At the end Ms. Williams says as this is my final attempt (I had never heard from these people before), she wishes me the best of luck with all of this (said in a very sarcastic mocking tone). My ex husband informed me last night that he and my 3 adult children living very far out of the state I'm in from me have all gotten the same calls except they are trying to reach me. They give a case #, but when you call it says your case has been turned over to a different department. I've read up on it, and it is a scam and illegal for debt collectors to do this people. I also have no idea what debt I have that caused this to happen in the 1st place.
