Got unwanted call from 888-235-9033?
Called me from this number stated I was in serious trouble then he named off all my social media account and where I work.. thinking about contacting the police
Received a pleasant woman's voice message asking to call immediately regarding my car safety. This site was very helpful as she sounds kind and sincere, but still questionable.
Woman's voice sounding very concerned (for my safety) and sincere. Be cautious. DO NOT FALL for this scam. They are frauds
It's always the same guy.
Said they were concerned for my safety and I should contact 888-235-9033 ASAP!
fake car warranty bullshit
I received the exact same call at 9:37pm. Have gotten calls about my warranty from other numbers as well. They tell me my car has over 30000 miles on it so my warranty is up. It's kind of a collector car and has 3000 miles. They then ask they know what model it is but yet asked me for the year. Told them if they have my info they should know what year it is. They tell me You have no coverage! I don't care, we don't drive. Well do you have another vehicle you drive more? Have continued to ask them to quit calling me and take my number out of the system he started yelling at me and called me a foul name then hung up.
Exactly as described here. I was called from two different numbers, each left the same voicemail message: "Hi this is Daniella. I was calling regarding the factory warranty on your vehicle. We've called you several times, and we actually sent out a few mailers to your home as well so I'm not quite sure why we haven't heard back from you yet. In any case it's imperative that we speak to you today in order to keep your file open so please call me at 1-888-235-9033. Thank you very much for your immediate attention to your safety, and I hope we can connect soon. Bye now." I've been called from these numbers: 551-272-4604 407-686-1584
This number has called me and had left a voicemail message as well. Since I had time to waste for the day, I’d decided to call the number back in which they’ve requested instead of the one that they’d originally called me from. Immediately a guy had answered from the customer support department and asked for my name and make of my car. I’d simply told him that I was not interested and wanted to be removed from their listings and he told me in order to do so I had to pay $195 or else my car would be reposed. I’d asked him how is that if I choose not to use their services in extending my cars warranty? The guy didn’t answer and was very pushy in collecting my card information. I’d told him for the final time to remove me from the listings and he’d told me that my car will be taken and I would be going to jail! Mind you this guy never had my information and basing it off of my phone number. So I’d told him fine I’ll take my chances. He begun acting like he was typing up some sort of information and said the wrong make of my car and year that would be reposed. I’d told him it wasn’t my car and he said “well I guess you have nothing to worry about” and hung up on my face. This so call CarGuard (I’d asked what the company name was) pretend company is fake and when you start asking questions they’ll end up lying to you just to get you off the phone so that they can attempt to scam you again on a later date. Whatever you do, please don’t give them an inch of your information...not even your name and see how fast they’ll come up for a price for you to pay.
Problem with my warranty. Not calling them back
