some kind of credit scam saying that they will help you with your credit.
At 9:45 am, a male allegedly named Kevin Pinto called with a South or Central American Spanish accent. They add a fake "calling center" (lots of operators talking at the same time) sound as a background noise to seems real. They ask your name first (redflag #1). Then they proceed stating that they work with different bank institutions and that the banks have relayed to them the message that you have a bad credit score and that they work with a company named "Paz limpieza de crédito" and they are calling to help you. They try to ask if you have checked your credit score lately? I immediately stopped him and said I will not give out further information over the phone until I investigate his company. He proceeded to be pushy and ask if I have credit? I stated again that I will not give out further information until I investigate his company. He paused, and said what? you are not interested in your credit score? I said...I am not interested in this call because I don't think his company is real. He then said he understood (which is a lie) and asked if I had a paper and pen and said that his company's name is Paz limpieza de crédito, his name Kevin Pinto and the phone number as displayed in the ID call 1-888-258-7591. I said I will call back if needed and after I investigate if his company is real or not. It is not people! Don't pick up the phone. It is a big scam. Thank you all for posting about the scam. I looked up the company's name online, and there is one called Pas in Coral Gables FL but not the one he was referring too. The number has been reported to be a fraud scheme online. Don't fall into the trap. I reported this situation to the FTC government agency. Please do the same online. Look up FTC gov file a complaint. Please report it as soon as possible. Tell them you will report them to the US government agency.
A woman called speaking Spanish and saying that I was in credit problems and they wanted to help. I denied my information and she hung up.
This is from Blaze MasterCard. It is a debt collector and not a scam
A lady, speaking in Spanish, asking for my name. I cut off immediately and asked her never call me again. End of call.
Called because I had forgot to make my payment on my Blaze Credit Card. Not spam for me.
They said they were from a company called "PAS". I didn't get the complete name but it ended with "Simple". They say you were referred to them because, according to the three major credit bureau, you are facing credit problems. I denied the information and they kept asking questions. I asked what they were offering and they said "it's a courtesy financial advisory service" where as soon as they get your credit report they will go through it with you account by account "to help you out". I said it was BS and that I was not interested and the caller gave me an attitude, as if I was being ungrateful or such. I knew it was BS since they don't even know the person they are calling or were "referred". He then said he was going to call me on another time and I sure hope so, so I can tell them I reported their number to the police. And yes, it sound like it is a call center and he had like a Venezuelan or Colombian accent.
A women called me to ask my crédit information but I toldos her no. I don't like to day my information on the iphone.
