Wanted to help us with our merchant's service account that had been overcharged......regarding our (non-existent) credit card machine. Beware!

Call from Jason Miles saying they want to discuss my Merchants Service account regarding our Credit Card Machine- We have no Credit Card Machine. Was very rude. I ended the call and he called about again then hung up on me. SCAM!!!!

Same thing happened to me yesterday, Knew it wasn't right..

I received a call from Chase on 8/26, telling me he was with Top Tier, and that we had been overcharged on our merchant processing fees for the months of May, June and July. He wanted me to fax him a copy of one of those statements to get me a PCI correction code and get us "refunded" for our overpayments. I told him I had not seen a statement in quite some time (they usually just get shredded when we get them as the fee comes straight out of our bank), and that I would need to follow up with our vendor to obtain. He pressed me to go online to their website, which I did, but our statements are not available online and they must be requested. I told him I would look into it and get back with him. Then, yesterday, 8/27, he called again, following up to see if I had gotten the requested statements. I told him no, and that due to my current workload it would likely be the end of the week before I could follow up. He then called again TODAY, and one of my team members put him into my voicemail (she said she could tell it was a sales call because he asked for Nicole, and I never go by that). When I saw it was the same number again, I decided to google it, and came across all of these reviews with similar experiences to mine. I decided to call him back directly and push him for additional information. When asked how he even knew what I had been charged, he said it was because "merchant services" red flagged us for being overcharged. I told him I had already spoken with our "merchant services" company and that all fees charged were correct. He then got pushy and agitated and said, "Well, of course they would tell you that, it's not in their best interest to refund you any money." I then told him I had spoken with my Controller and reviewed the fees and that we do not wish to be contacted further about this. He then rudely stated, "Well, ma'am, if you're okay paying these fees, that's perfectly fine with me." WHAT A CROCK. I wish I could call him and waste 30 minutes of his life.

We got a call from "Lance" at the same number saying his company was Top-Tier there were non-compliance charges with our merchant services company and wanted us to send him a statement from July. Total scam. Do not share any info with this company.

I got a call from this number claiming to be merchant services. He said there was a fee charged to our account for noncompliance. He wanted me to fax him a statement (and I had to do it right away while he stayed on the phone) so he can remove this charge. I asked him to verify our merchant number. He verified our address but said he did not have our merchant number. I took his phone number (and fax #) and told him I would need to pull out a statement and would call him back. I hung up with "Lance" and immediately called our true merchant services company to verify the situation. They told me they do not call their customers and advised me not to fax any information to anyone. I just received another call from this same number a few hours after the original call. I put the call on hold and they hung up shortly after.

It's so frustrating how many of this type of call businesses receive. I've had four in the first four hours of business today.
