Telling me I needed to pay $599.99 for my virus protection that doesn’t exist.
The caller pretend to be me. He called my grandfather, saying that he was in New Jersery. He went even farther saying that he was at a friends wedding and when he left, he recked his car. My grandfather ask him what was his grandmothers name, which he answer correct. Then my grandfather ask him what was his mothers name, he couldn't answer then he hung up the phone.
I just received a call from this number. A young man said "Hi Grandma, this is your oldest grandson." Of course while he is sniffling, like he'd been crying. I repeatedly asked what his name was and after three times of asking he hung up. SCAM I'M SURE!!! DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!
Caller said he was my nephew and was in an automobile accident last night. Wanting me to wire money. Was not my nephew. Is a scam phone number. Caller is pretending to be a relative who has been hurt. When I asked for the caller to tell me his middle name (which my nephew would know that information), the caller hung up.
