Do Not Call & Robocall Complaints Reported to the FTC

Got unwanted call from 888-523-4388?

User Comments

Myself and my partner have been receiving calls daily from this number. Oddly, my phone never shows that anyone has called. There is no record or information on who they are and the phone numbers. Each message says they are from "Molina" and tell us to call 888-523-4388. When I have called the number they claim they are scheduling "home visits" for our health. My partner and I told them NO several times and to please stop calling. This was a few months ago. Now, they have been calling and leaving messages every single day! Some days, two messages a day. I contacted Molina of Washington and they claim to know nothing about it. I called the number back and told them to remove our phone number and they told us that only Molina could do that. After being on the phone off and on for several hours and days, today I believe I may have made progress. One of the voice mails left on this past Saturday 12-7-24, blurted out that he was calling from Medigence. So I did some research. Evidently, this company was contracted by Molina to conduct home risk assessment. These are conducted for no legitimate medical reason or lawful reason. Their only purpose is to bring back information for Molina so they can adjust their rates of pay from WA state. These visits are not a required of our insurance. Yet, I could not get the phone calls to stop. Today a Molina representative sat on a three party call with me and Medigence and removed our phone number from their lists. They claim I will have to do this every single year to avoid calls. Personally, my partner and I do not feel this is legitimate. In fact its incredibly unnerving and is harassment to call us every day. This company knows our home address, birthdays, etc. To us, legitimate business calls would 1). Show who is calling you.2). When you call them back they would say who they truly are ( not this phone number stating they are "Molina" when they are NOT, they are Medigence Health based out Plano, Texas. They are a hired agency to come into your home and invade your space to get information that seriously, Molina already knows as your health care provider. This is creepy, harassing, trying to invade our personal space and safety of our home, calling endlessly, no phone numbers show up on my phone from these people ( ghosting? spoofing?). No legitimate buisiness would act this way. This feels like a creepy scam of sorts even though it is claimed to be "legit" Molina. Please beware of this company. Deal directly with Molina if they are your provider. If this were required you as a client of Molina would receive legitimate letters or correspondence from them directly. Don't give out ANY personal information to this company. For anyone else being harassed by this company, I validate you and you have my sympathy.
